President's Message - Jan '26
Welcome Address
from the New
MBCEA President
As the newly elected President of the Metal Building Contractors and
Erectors Association (MBCEA),
I am honored and
humbled to serve this incredible organization and its
members. Our association stands at a pivotal
moment in shaping the future of the metal building
industry, and together, we will build on the strong
foundation laid by past leadership of Robert Tiffin and
those who served before him.
Our Vision and Goals
The MBCEA has just completed a comprehensive
five-year strategic plan designed to strengthen our
organization and deliver exceptional value to our
members. This plan focuses on growth, quality, and
education. There are four pillars of the plan that will
define our success for the future of the organization.
Expanding AC478 Accreditation
One of my top priorities is to significantly increase the
number of contractors and erectors achieving AC478
accreditation. This program is the gold standard for
safety, training, and quality in our industry.
Accreditation isn’t just a badge—it’s a commitment to
excellence that sets you apart. I challenge every
member to take the first step: attend a webinar, join a
roundtable, or speak with an accredited colleague.
Let’s make AC478 the norm, not the exception.
Change begins with you, and together we can
elevate our entire industry.
Strengthening Membership and Chapters
Membership is at an all-time high, and we will
continue to grow by attracting new members and
supporting active chapters. Our chapters are the
heartbeat of MBCEA, and we will provide resources
and national webinars to keep them strong and
engaged.
Driving Education and Training
We are launching a groundbreaking training program
in partnership with MBI and NCCER—an initiative
that will revolutionize workforce development. This
program will deliver formal apprenticeship-level
training in English and Spanish, using modern, online
tools to create highly skilled craftworkers for metal
building construction.
Financial Stewardship and Strategic Investments
MBCEA is financially sound, and we will continue to
invest in programs that matter most to you—our
members. From our National Conference to technical
resources, every initiative will be designed to help
you succeed.
Join Us in Building the Future
I invite you to engage fully with MBCEA: attend our
webinars, participate in committees, and join us at
the National Conference in Colorado Springs.
Together, we will strengthen our industry, grow our
network, and set new standards of excellence.
Thank you for your trust and commitment. Let’s make
these next two years a time of growth, innovation,
and leadership.
