President's Message - Mar '23

President's Message,
Happy March everybody. It’s almost summer?
I want to start this newsletter by thanking Butler Manufacturing for allowing us to have an MBCEA booth at their builder meeting. It was nice to see how many of their builders already belong to our organization and pick up a couple more. Thank you, BMC! We also appreciate Wes Young representing us at Behlen's meeting and David Leinbach's invite by Nucor and American to speak about AC478 and Membership.
We will soon roll out our Retrofit Roof video which is a comprehensive overview of the retrofit metal roofing industry. A very special thank you to Roof Hugger for not only putting in countless hours of time but also supporting us with a $5000 Gold Sponsorship. A big shout out to TopHat Framing for their $5,000 Gold Sponsorship as well. We still have a few sponsorship opportunities left. If you are interested in supporting this program, please complete and return this form today. Logos and artwork are due by 3/30.
I believe in the mission of the MBCEA and will ask just about everyone I meet to join. Occasionally, the first thing I hear is ,“what’s in it for me?”. Besides the obvious, like meeting fellow industry members, contractors, erectors, and vendors and access to our training material, the real reason to support our organization is that MBCEA supports our industry as a whole. With more than 600 members, of which more than 66% are contractors and erectors, we are the best resource for anyone serious about the Metal Building Industry. There isn’t anyone else providing the support and training to metal building contractors and erectors like the MBCEA. And, at an extremely reasonable membership price! So, please, even if you don’t use us, support us.

The strength of our organization lies in the collective power of our network.  We rely on each other to address big issues as well as small problems. Through our classified ads, chapter meetings and national conference, members have access to the best and brightest people in the business. I am always amazed at the quality of tips and advice I gain from casual conversations as well as organized round-tables. Sharing advice and promoting the safety and integrity of our builds is what we do best!

Get your cowboy boots out because our Conference is right around the corner. We have a fantastic program, with something for everyone. I hope to see you there.
