A chapter kickoff meeting was held on February 3, 2017, at Triangle Fastener’s Jackson branch with about 60 participants representing 11 companies receiving certifications for five training classes. Controlled Decking Zone, ABC’s of Personal Fall Arrest System, Make the Connection, Bolting and Aligning, and Connection Safety. This was followed up annually with training sessions being offered as part of the Southeast Training Tour including GHS and Crane Hand Signals, with the most recent offering in January 2019 for Rigging Basics. The attendees agreed that a chapter would be beneficial in the area to offer low cost training and networking opportunities.
