Professional Bio
Mr. Tucker’s work experience includes civil and structural engineering positions in industry, academia, and consulting firms. In industry, he has been responsible for structural engineering design, project management, inspections, and code compliance. Mr. Tucker worked with MBMA during the production of the 2000 MBMA code to bring the code into coordination with the IBC 2000 Code. Mr. Tucker has personally designed thousands of pre-engineered metal buildings of all end uses. Mr. Tucker's expertise is particularly useful for owners and contractors looking for an engineer who can modify existing pre-engineering metal buildings. Often the original manufacturer cannot or will not supply retrofit engineering or analysis. Mr. Tucker has been involved in the analysis of numerous existing pre-engineered metal buildings to add loads, re-roof, remove or change bracing, add cranes to buildings, add conventional buildings to the existing metal buildings, take down and re-erect buildings in different states, and other changes to the buildings. Mr. Tucker works throughout the US and is currently licensed in 18 states as a profession engineer and holds an NCEES record which allows for quick licensing as needed in additional states. Mr. Tucker has also been hired to evaluated vibrations in pre-engineered metal buildings and provide solutions for serviceability issues relating from vibrations. Mr. Tucker is a native speaker of English, is fluent in Modern Standard Arabic (former US Army linguist in 101st ABN) and has a basic proficiency of Spanish.
