It is membership renewal time. If you need a reason to join or renew, I urge you to give my recent article in Metal Construction News a quick read. We have so much to offer especially when you consider our very reasonable annual fee!
One of the biggest benefits of membership is networking with the other members. I used to think that networking was just corporate speak for happy hour but I have met people through MBCEA that improve my business and provide opportunities that I wouldn’t have otherwise. These relationships transcend MBCEA but are possible because I joined. Where else do you have the opportunity to speak with or find people from all areas of the metal building industry?
MBCEA can provide resources and answers to your metal building questions and we are constantly looking for ways to improve our members' experiences.
One of our initiatives in the coming year will be asking the MBMA to encourage their members to provide metal building installation documents and drawings in Latin American Spanish. I think we can all agree that Hispanic erectors make up a large percentage of metal building assemblers. Yet there is very little training available for them in their native language. Please join us in contacting your building reps to provide the additional training for our Hispanic erectors.
MBCEA’s mission statement is to elevate the professionalism of our industry. And that includes all erectors, not just the English speaking ones.
Our MBA training initiative with NCCER is being developed and will provide comprehensive training for metal building assemblers in an updated online format that will be available in both English and Spanish.

The MBMA has fabulous resources but so do we! We continue to add to the Members Only area of our website. If you are unsure how to access this area, refer to your welcome email or contact Sasha. We have manufacturer developed training, contractor and erector developed training, as well as tons of tools, tips and templates.
Our motto is reaching new heights together. "Together" is what makes us powerful and makes us stronger. As we enter the season of Thanksgiving, know that I am thankful for such a strong association. The MBCEA is a fabulous group of friends and colleagues that make my business stronger and my life richer.
