President's Message - Mar '24

President's Message,

Unlocking Value Through Participation!

As we navigate the ever-evolving landscape, our association's chapter meetings, monthly webinars, surveys, and spring conferences stand as vital pillars of growth and engagement.

Speaking of surveys; there is one we really want/need you to consider before 3/22: MBMA Survey on BIM for MBCEA Members

Here's why your active participation matters:

1. **Knowledge Exchange and Networking**: Association and Chapter meetings provide a unique platform for knowledge sharing, networking, and mentorship. Whether it's discussing industry trends, best practices, or case studies, these gatherings foster meaningful connections. Webinars, on the other hand, allow you to learn from experts without leaving your desk. By participating, you gain insights that can elevate you, and your company.

2. **Strengthening Advocacy and Influence**: When you participate in chapter meetings, you contribute to our collective voice. Advocacy efforts, policy discussions, and community impact initiatives all find their roots in these gatherings. Your presence amplifies our influence, ensuring that our association remains a force for safe and positive change.

3. **Continuous Learning and Adaptation**: Staying informed is non-negotiable. Chapter meetings and webinars expose you to fresh ideas, emerging technologies, and evolving practices. By actively participating, you equip yourself with the tools needed to adapt, innovate, and thrive.

Engagement builds and fuels our industry success. To honor those who have given so much to our industry we have the Metal Construction Hall of Fame that recognizes the individuals who have had a profound impact on our industry. The HOF also has a Founders Category for those early innovators, without whom we would not be here. Maybe it was your dad or grand-dad, someone who mentored you, taught you the ropes, or someone who inspired you from afar. We want to know about them so we can honor their legacy and submit their name for recognition of their unique contribution to this industry. If you are aware of a person who made an impact on and improvements to the metal building industry, please share them with Sasha today.

Remember, your engagement fuels our association's success. Join us at the next chapter meeting or webinar; it's an investment in your professional journey. Make time to attend the National Conference, the ultimate forum for engagement. I look forward to seeing you there.

Stay connected, stay informed, and let's reach new heights together!

Be Safe, Be Great,

P.S. On the topic of participation, we are kicking off our own version of The Name Game in this month's newsletter with Moosecock. All future entries will be on the app, which is a much better forum for this fun, yet informative game. If you have not yet downloaded the MBCEA app on your phone, do it now!
