Session 2 Day 3 MAD Training – OSHA 10/Annual Safety Refresher/Sustainable Envelopes/Blueprint Reading

February 12 @ 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

OSHA-10 & Annual OSHA Refresher (Part 2)

(6) hrs

The OSHA-10 is highly recommended – & often required – for all construction field personnel.  It serves as the benchmark for introductory jobsite safety and OSHA compliance education.

Our class will blend together the business perspective of safety, OSHA construction compliance education, and the roles of the competent person.  In addition to learning about OSHA, we will emphasize six areas of jobsite safety that account for over 80% of OSHA construction fines – with particular attention paid to #1… fall protection.  Other disciplines covered will include scaffold safety, steel erection, temp electrical safety, stair/ladder safety, PPE, & chemical hazard communication.

Each attendee will receive a very useful course manual and OSHA wallet card.

Even with an OSHA-30 under your belt, a quick refresher on key safety & OSHA-related topics is always in order.  Topics to be covered in this “tune-up” will include:

  • OSHA most frequently cited in construction
  • Review of competent person role & expectations
  • Review of OSHA multi-employer worksite responsibilities & citation policy
  • Discussion of key OSHA requirements & safety expectations relevant to trade
  • OSHA regulatory update & areas of focus for 2017
  • Managing OSHA inspections
  • Open Q&A

This program will be helpful to all field personnel, but especially to company leadership, project managers, and those with site supervisory responsibilities.  Handouts included.
