Construction Notebook Class #7 “How to Install Metal Walkdoors” as presented by PDL Building Products and Tell Manufacturing

For the class we will start by demonstrating a Pre-Assembled door installed into a metal building wall.  This includes a step by step process of placing the door in the opening, level, square, and plumb, while anchoring to the concrete and top girt system.  A final check of the door swinging in place for functionality, as well as potential adjustments in the opening for reveal.  We will then provide a step by step procedure to assemble a knockdown frame.  Following the same techniques, while also showing the installation of a threshold, weather stripping, lockset, and other hardware.  At the end of both projects we will review final adjustments to ensure the walkdoors operate smoothly. Q & A session to follow.
