History

Fun, friendship and service is what the Metal Building Contractors and Erectors Association (MBCEA) is all about. MBCEA started on February 15, 1968 as Metal Building Dealers Association. It has since expanded and evolved into what’s known today as the Metal Building Contractors and Erectors Association and has much to be proud of.

In the 1990’s, an obvious need was realized and MBCEA developed a new training avenue through a concerted effort of many members. Thus, the Quality and Craftsmanship Training Series and Metal Buildings Institute (MBI) were conceived.

The MBCEA Board Members are committed to keeping up with technology, as well as improving how we communicate with and support our members. This association continues to develop meaningful programs focused on training, quality, education and safety. We strive to build up the younger generation and educate them on our amazing industry along with the potential, accomplishments, and possibilities of choosing a career in the metal building industry. As we come together often to laugh, learn, fellowship and serve alongside each other, we are committed to growing awareness of and promoting the acceptance of our quality programs throughout the industry.
