Just wondering if anyone has tried to install a metal standing seam roof in the winter time fighting frost, snow , and ice conditions. The roof in question is a 4:12 slope. Are there any aftermarket shoes that are better than others for traction? We already are using " Grippers" from Dynamic fasteners and they are ok but not very durable. Looking for suggestions. Seems that nothing is going to work on ice or frost. Is there a liquid we can spray which will melt the frost but not become slushy ?
