Greetings from the President of the MBCEA-KSBA (Kansas Systems Builders Association)
Welcome to Kansas Systems Builders Association website – Our chapter was established as a not for profit corporation in June 1978, as part of the Metal Building Contractors and Erectors Association. As one of the original founding members, we open the door and welcome new and current members and wish them success. Over the years, we have noticed major changes to our industry from engineering, building quality and pricing to Green Building and “Leed” programs.
Our chapter is committed to the Metal Building Industry by promoting pre-engineered metal building systems, approved/certified builders, erectors and associate members in our city and state.
We hold monthly general meetings through the fall, winter, and early spring months to promote networking with all builders and associate members. We also hold monthly board meetings through the year to discuss the association affairs and find ways to educate, promote and support our metal industry, our members and associate members.
We are dedicated to training the new metal building contractors and erectors. Through the use of the well designed and produced Quality and Craftsmanship DVD Training Series, our builders, as well as associate members, have the opportunity to learn the latest in safety and steel erection techniques, new products and equipment, and general business information. We have partnered together with the Kansas AGC chapter and started a metal building erection course, which includes other important issues such as safety, power tools, math, and layout of the building. We also raise money with our annual golf tournament and other sport activities, to help support student scholarships and a professorship for instruction in the metal building design and construction, at Kansas State University and Pittsburg State University.
I thank all of our current members who put their trust in me and gave me the opportunity to lead our chapter through this year. I welcome any suggestions and recommendations in order to strengthen our membership drive, promote our metal building industry and represent it well in our highly advanced, competitive and dynamic market.
