MBCEA Mission Statement:

Our mission is to support the professional advancement of metal building contractors, erectors, and our industry.

The Metal Building Contractors & Erectors Association (MBCEA) is a trade association organized in 1968 to provide programs and services to the contractor and erector segments of the metal building industry.  The association proudly boasts membership from virtually every aspect of the industry.  The MBCEA is a membership-driven association, promoting the professionalism of its contractor and erector members.

The MBCEA has developed several programs to benefit membership and industry, most notably, the MBI Quality and Craftsmanship Training Series and the IAS Accreditation Program, AC478.

The MBCEA hosts an Annual Conference which presents an outstanding program of topics and seminars geared specifically to metal building contractors and erectors. Our focus is expert advice from membership. There is also an Exhibit Hall where vendors showcase and demonstrate all their newest products and of course, many networking opportunities. Annual Building of Year Awards and Pioneers are presented at the Conference. The 47th Annual Conference will be May 19-21, 2016 at the Sheraton Sand Key Resort, Clearwater Beach, FL.

The MBCEA is the premier place to network with the Metal Building Industry. Members report the advice and best practice gleaned from the “grey hair” in our network is invaluable and well worth the price of membership. Similarly, members are encouraged to participate in our Mentor Program. Participants are matched with a trusted advisor at no charge for business advice and assistance exclusive to the Metal Building Systems Industry.

The MBCEA maintains a national and local presence. Regional members organize into Chapters. We currently boast Chapters in New England, Mid-Atlantic, Carolinas, Southeast, Midwest, Southeast Texas, Rocky Mountain, Pacific Northwest and the San Joaquin Valley. Chapters are a cost-effective way to keep up with ever-changing regulations, building materials and methods, and to access low cost training. Chapter meetings are social forums where you can network with other contractors and erectors in your geographic area. Several chapters raise money for scholarships or support local charities.

The MBCEA is not just for contractor and erectors. Many suppliers are members. The Association provides a closed loop, captive audience. Our members want to know about new products and new processes. Erectors need to learn/hear about new trends to stay current and be competitive. Chapter events and the Annual Conference are perfect showcase opportunities.

Other benefits of membership are accessed on our website. Members are highlighted in a searchable Directory. Our directory is used worldwide by companies seeking Contractors and Erectors. Your inclusion here provides members with a true marketing advantage. There is a “members only” area on the website that is full of tips, documents, checklists, templates and information exclusively available for our membership. In this area you can find a Safety Handbook and Toolbox Talks in both English and Spanish, copies of all key documents for the successful Erector, as well as all the templates and checklists you need to prepare for AC478. The website also offers free classified ads to members.
